The Laptop DVD Burner

How to check/change the DVD region of an optical drive on Win XP.

-Right click on “My Computer” icon on the desktop.

-Choose Properties

-Choose “Hardware” TAB

-Choose “Device Manager”

-Double click on “DVD/CD-ROM drives”

-Right click on the drive you want to check

-Choose properties

-Choose “DVD Region” TAB

-Choose your country from the list, If you want to change the region (1 for USA)

-Click OK

In order to change the region you have to have a DVD disk with proper region in your drive.
