you probably have that speed cos you turn it on when its running on battery, if you turn it on when is conectedto the ac adapter you will hace the 2ghz, This is to save battery

I have this laptop …
I have this laptop and I love it. I just upgraded the ram, and It’s even better than before. It’s 2.0 ghz. Well, actually it’s 9.97 ghz, but it’s pretty close. If you upgrade the ram, everything is much faster. Even the start up.
