HOWEVER, this is indeed the second laptop I have used in my life, and by comparison, it could use a lot of work. For starters, i am typing on a usb keyboard while using a usb mouse, occupying the only 2 usb ports available. The touch pad wore off and crapped out in less than a year, my other laptops pad lasted longer than 3 years, same with the keyboard, in about 2 years the s key failed to function.

Oh wow, that is the exact comp I have. I was able to play almost anything around and before 2004 as well as almost every emulator for several consoles I can think of, except anything beyond epsxe. as for PC games, if you do not mind playing low end games or decent games in lower quality settings, then it is decent enough. The drawback is the stubborn refusal to upgrade.

Eat a dick bitch. This computer is a piece of that doesn’t do anything. I hate this computer and the fact that I own one. I got sucked into buying it and comes to find out, I can’t run World of Warcraft, Diablo 2, MAME, or even ZSNES. This a bad computer. STAY AWAY!!!!

Actually, nothing is really wrong w/ Compaq laptops, however they are just lower-end laptops but still work and perfrom great. Also, it was their reputation in the past (before Hewlett Packard bought Compaq) that still makes people believe that Compaqs are miserable comptuers.

Having those two …
Having those two USBs stacked one on top of the other is very inconvenient. They are so close to each other that you wont be able to use them at the same time cause some cables and accessories are bulky enough to not be able to connect more then one at a time.

Yay! I recently got a Presario, and it rocks! I’ve never had a Compaq before, only Dell, and I have to admit I think I like Compaq better. o.O Didn’t think that would happen… Part of the reason is that I used to have a Dell Inspiron, and it went kerplunk, we took it to Geek Squad, and they said the only way to fix a Dell is to send it in to the company itself, at your own expense, becuase Dell won’t release their parts. So now we have a broken laptop with no purpose. but my Compaq works great!
