how do i know if i have a dvd burner installed on to my laptop?
how do you find out if your laptop has a dvd burner already installed in it. i mean i can play dvd’s already and i also have a ez- dub do i need that too. and i have the nero essential’s cd.
Left click on the start button. Find the icon for my computer. Click on that. It will show you Hard drives, Devices with removable storages, and network drives if you have them. Under the devices with removable stores, it will show your DVD, CD, Floppy drives and such. Look at your DVD drive and see if it says DVD-RW or anything to that effect. If it says DVD only, it is a reader. DVD - or + RW means you have a DVD Reader and Writer. Good luck, Z

you should look to see if you have a dvd burning software, also look at where the cd/dvd goes in to the computer, if it says DVD-RW then it means that it can burn dvds.

Look at your DVD drive and It should have RW with DVD + Rewritable under it

Put a CD-R in the drive and see if you can copy files to it.
You can also go to control panel –> system -> hardware –> device manager and then expand CD/DVD drives and look to see if you have a CDRW.
